Guest guest
I got this terrific recipe from a sugar-hater friend type and it was wonderful and VERY pretty at Thanksgiving, planning on making it again for Christmas, but I need a SF pound cake. Anyone ever see one on the market or do I have to bake one? Here's the recipe: (They don't come any easier for something that sets up this pretty!) 1 pound cake cubed 2 pkg sugar free vanilla pudding 1/8 cup brandy (or to taste...I used a tad more cool whip 1 can no sugar added sliced peaches. Just make the pudding as per instructions...then add the drained peaches which you diced a bit (hmmm...buy diced lite peaches if you can find them...that would work also.) Cube the entire pound cake and mix lightly with brandy. Then add the pudding mixture and just lightly mix until pound cake is coated well. Now just alternate layers with cool whip in a pretty bowl, chill and serve. The brandy and the pound cake are unbelievably good and if we can make the pound cake or buy it without sugar, bingo...a desert to die for!
