How long did you have to wait before the surgeon removed it? > Do insurance companies usually pay for this type of surgery? > > > ~ Swanson > Oregon Hi , I just had my screws and plate removed from my upper left hand due to the screws having a cyst in it, but the catch is I had my original Le Forte I done 15 years ago, anyway UHC is my Ins. and they said they will pay for it, I had it pre-approved. I haven't received the bill yest I'm just 1 week post-op. took about 2.5 hours in the O.R. apparently my jaw bone grew over the plate and it was a son-of-a-bee sting to get out. Good Luck.
