Hi there!

My name is Fiona.

It is a week since I discovered the SCD and GAPS diets!

So, as I always do in life, I dived right in, and now I am a tad overwhelmed!!

I am getting confused with the different information from the BTVC book (which I

bought), the GAPS diet (Aust website) and the pecanbread.com website.

I started following the GAPS 6 introduction stages, and at the same time have

been reading the book (BTVC) and websites. I haven't got the GAPS diet book, but

thought I'd be ok without it for a while (a girl can only afford so much!).

So, now that I am reading now that just the book and following the 6 intro

stages at the same time, I am reading things that seem to conflict.

It appears the intro should only go for 5 days maximum (according to the

pecanbread.com website) yet the GAPS diet says that you follow the 6 stages

according to how you're feeling symptomatically. I am only on stage 2 of the 6

stage intro diet (GAPS), and it is six nights ago that I started. I am confused

about what to do now.

I started using kefir from the 4th day, and have been building up from 2 tsps a

day to 2 tsps at each meal, and 1 tspn upon rising. Also, I didn't realise in

the SCD and on pecanbread.com diet that I wasn't to have ANY veges in the first

5 (max) days... just the broths and meats.....

Not sure what to do now, as I am quite fragile at the mo.... just feeling

confused, overwhelmed, and HUNGRY!!! I now am equiped with lots of amazing info

and knowledge, so cannot return to breads and rice etc. thgought, I feel that I

have done some amazing ground work, and really started to feel the die off, and

digestive calming / healing happening!

I am finding that the BTVC book doesn't have enough details about how to start

the diet (intro stages, foods for the beginner etc), but then the pecan bread

website and GAPS website are conflicting....

What should I do...???

You're advice and guidance would be muchly appreciated.

I am wishing to make a vege soup to have with chicken stock tonight, but really

unsure if I can have the actual veges, or scoop them out when they're done.

I have tired (not exhaustered) adrenals and cannot afford to lose any (more!?)

weight while following this.

COmplete healing is my aim though!!

Much gratitude,

Fiona =)
