Guest guest
, I don't quite understand where the pain that you're suffering from is located? Is it near where the plates are, underneath your eyes and cheekbones? Ouch! I sure hope those antibiotics kick in and do their job. You surely deserve it. If you do go in for surgery would it be an out-patient affair or would you have to spend another night in the hospital? I just got back from NYC where I had my monthly orthodontic check up visit. You might recall that I was hoping to get my braces off. Well the good news is that I got my bottom braces off. Hip hip hooray!!! The bad news is that I still have the top braces on. Unfortunately the one tooth my ortho was hoping would shift in one month didn't, so I'm stuck with these suckers for a while more. I had to go in to see my ortho twice in the one week I was in NYC to get the braces and wires changed because my teeth were moving so quickly. Now that I'm back in Italy my bite seems perfect (to my inexpert eye) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Nov 30th I'll get all of these brackets off. I'll tell you something though, taking off the ceramic brackets on my bottom teeth was possibly the most painful thing I have ever had to endure. Seriously, I felt like they were breaking my leg or tooth. Luckily the pain only lasts about 5 seconds while the ortho yanks off the brackets but I am certainly not looking forward to repeating the experience in 3 weeks. Not even the 2 advil I took beforehand were enough to numb the pain. Am seriously considering codeine for next time. Anyway, didn't mean to make this posting all about myself. I wanted to wish you luck for Tuesday just in case you end up going for surgery. In the mean time I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you that those antibiotics make it that the surgery is not needed. Good luck Caboose and sending you a huge virtual hug!
