Guest guest
Taryn graduated from her DOC band about a month ago. She was diagnosed with tort and plagio at her 6 month well vist. She started PT the follwing week and was cast and banded within 3 weeks. She wore her band for 12 weeks and we couldn't be happier with the results. We were also some of the unlucky ones, our insurance UHC didn't cover the band. Fortunaly we qualified for a grant through United Healthcare Children's Foundation. For anyone that needs assistance paying for the band/helmet check the site out to see if you qualify. www.UHCCF.org We are still in PT for her tort. The transfermation has been remarkable, she started with a 45 degree tilt and is now down to the last 5 degrees. For any families that are unsure if they should treat I would do whatever it takes to get treatment. Good Luck to all of the families on the board. If it weren't for the messages and support through this site it wouldn't have been as easy of a journey. > > Hi Everyone- > Please welcome our newest Front Page Star...Taryn! > > If Taryn's mom is still with us, please share her plagio story with the board. > > Thanks! > > > Jake-3.5 (DOCBand Grad 9/08) >
