Guest guest
The celiac conference is less than one mile from the Palo Alto caltrain station. The Stanford shuttle bus, called the Marguerite, has a bus that runs on Saturday called the Shopping Express. It travels between the Palo Alto transit center (Caltrain) and the hospital, the ride takes 7 minutes. But, the bus does not start to run until 10:00 am, so you can take it to Caltrain after the conference but cannot use it in the morning. Below is a link to the bus map and schedule. http://transportation.stanford.edu/marguerite/MargueriteSched.shtml#midnight I always see taxis at the train station, and I'm sure they would not charge very much for a one mile ride, so that is an option in the morning. It is also a nice walk or bike ride, but you need to have a good map because Stanford does not have very good signs or street addresses, so you can easily get lost. Guest guest
I'll add to that that the first Caltrain leaving San Francisco on Saturday mornings is at 8:00 am, and it doesn't arrive at the Palo Alto stop until 9:02 am. If you decide to go that route, you will have to be late to the conference because of it...
