I held my baby in my lap 24/7 (I had to as she had a breathing problem).. so no.. it wouldn't have helped to hold them one more hour. KimFrom: <g19skiii@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Wed, November 17, 2010 12:45:26 PMSubject: Support Groups- Meet

Ups

My Daughter is going to get a helmet tomorrow and she is seven months now. I am freaking out because i feel like i am the worse mother in the world because my child needs a helmet. i feel like i could of done more like hold her or not put her in the swing or just items that push on the back of her head. dont get me wrong, we definitely hold our child but now i look back and think wow i didnt know how badly this has effected her to this point where she is getting our child a helmet. i am beating myself of about this. anyone else out there like that?

i really wanted to find out if there are support groups that have meet ups just for our children that have helmets? it would be nice to have another mom and child out there like us to chat with and have a play date so my child doesn't feel weird around other children.

I was also wondering the same thing. I have been going through a lot with my son's late diagnoses and idiot pediatrician and neuro specialist and I would love to have a chat with people who know exactly what I am going through.

I live in Bay Area, CA. Estrella Moeller

Hi,

These are all very common feelings and many of us have experienced

them! You don't need to worry about your daughter feeling weird

though at this age.

Best,

Kathy

Hi Estrella,

We live in collegeville, pa. so that is pretty far for a meetup/playdate but

chatting would be nice.
