Guest guest
I posted this to the Tort page as well, but since there are allot of people dealing with Tort on here I wanted it posted here also. I decided to take my daughter who will be 1 on Saturday to a Chiropractor for her unresolved tort. I took with me x-rays that were previously taken in May and July of this year so I would not have to pay for more x-rays. Imagine my shock when the doctor asked me when my daughter broke her clavical? Considering that until that moment I had not known. Both x-rays clearly show a break that had already healed and was calcifying. I took her the following day to my Ped with the same x-rays and she verified that my daughter at some point in her life had a broken claviacal. No one caught it. Not the Ped, the cranio / facial expert/ the orthodist/ the therapists/ no one. She referred me to an Orthopedic specialist stating that the broken clavical could be the underlying cause of her tort and possibly the reason I cannot get rid of the final little bit of tilt we have left. I called and scheduled her appointment and it is on Monday November 29th at 0830. I am not sure why no one noticed this on either set of x-rays nor did they report it. She has had tort pretty much since birth. It is my belief that she had a broken clavical since birth. She screamed pretty much from day 1 till about 12 weeks. Ped always said colic / reflux....now I really wonder. I was always told that her Tort was probably because of her size as she was a big baby. Tort is a symptom, maybe the broken bone was the trigger to our medical journey. The break caused the Tort, the Tort caused the Plagio........ Has anyone else and a broken clavical along with Tort? I will be sure and post an update after our appointment Tina Camille 12 months Danmar Helmet since August 7th...graduating on January 14th!!!
