Guest guest
I'm new to the group. I was wondering if anyone has had sucess with using a helmet when their child had a shunt? Our son has severe congential hydrocephalus and now has severe plagiocephaly as a result of how he laid his head. I've read some places that helmets don't work with shunts, just wondering if anyone has had any sucess. Thanks (Our son is 3 months old- has had this flat head since before he was 1 month old) We try getting him off of it, but it doesn't seem like it's going better (He spent his first month in the NICU)
Guest guest
The STARlight Bivalved band says that it works with shunts: http://www.orthomerica.com/products/cranial/starlightbivalve.htm A STARband provider in your area should be able to provide this band as well.
