Guest guest
I used spray paint that says it is specifically for use on plastic. It has a picture of a plastic lawn chair on the front, and I got it at Home Depot. I was Rust-Oleum. Here's a picture: http://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-211368-Paint-Plastic-12-Ounce/dp/B0002YPHXO It was very messy to spray paint because the tape I used to protect the inside of the band wouldn't stick. I wouldn't suggest spraying your band, but the paint has stuck really well so far. Maybe you could spray some into a disposable container and then paint it onto the band with a brush. I did this for some touch-ups, and it worked really well. FYI, you will need paint thinner to clean the brush after. > > Hi, we got our band yesterday and I started painting it on the first breaks, I used acrylic and then modpodge, well the thing peeled right of, I'm lost, all I want is to paint it black and then I want to put some decals. I heard thet the acrylic Folk Art works well and I guess I could try varnish on top. Has anybody used latex waterbased spray? any suggestions? thank you. >
Guest guest
Thanks for the tip. I just have a question, is it smelly? > > > > Hi, we got our band yesterday and I started painting it on the first breaks, I used acrylic and then modpodge, well the thing peeled right of, I'm lost, all I want is to paint it black and then I want to put some decals. Guest guest
Oooo, I don't think I would use rustoleum or spray paint of any kind. Isn't that toxic? I used acrylic paint and mod podge and it would last about 3 weeks before I had to peel it off and replace it. Guest guest
Yes, it's both smelly and toxic. You definately wouldn't want your child chewing on it! > > > > > > Hi, we got our band yesterday and I started painting it on the first breaks, I used acrylic and then modpodge, well the thing peeled right of, I'm lost, all I want is to paint it black and then I want to put some decals.
