Guest guest
Awww he is so cute! I don't know if you will get an abnormal result for the jutting out at the back of the head if it is symmetrical. Being White, you might get an abnormal result but amongst those of us of African descent, that isn't so abnormal. My husband is White and our babies were both born with the head going out in the back and there was nothing wrong with it. My husband noticed though and said people in his family have flatter heads. So I can see why it may look abnormal to you (unless there is a chance of African ancestry in your family). Our DocBand tech told us that parents ask for the head to be pushed back out like that but they cannot pop the head back out. Our 14 month old ended up with plagiocephaly though so the helmet kind of flattened that out. That bump in the back naturally flattens out some as babies age anyway, but the helmet trying to even the left side out with the right flat side made it much less pronounced. Our 2 month old still has the bump though . All of this is to say, I probably wouldn't think that was abnormal but based on your babies' background, it may be.
