Thanks you all so much for weighing in!

I went ahead and met with the ortho at Hanger, without meeting with the

specialist, since he requires a ct scan first. I wanted someone knowledgeable to

evaluate her and tell me her measurements before we did any kind of ct, xray,

etc. It just really gets under my skin that I can't see the specialist before a

ct scan. Anyway, the ortho gave me her measurement at 7.55.(mild to moderate) He

also gave me a few peds who refer directly to him and says they may just require

xrays before writing a script for a helmet. The ortho says it seems that it is a

result of positioning, since her whole right side is shifted forward and not

premature fusing. I have an appt with another ped on Monday and I'll see what he

says.

head shape was a bit off. I posted a pic on here, her name is Lainey.

> Today we had her 4 month appt and I showed the pediatrician, who agreed that

she should see the specialist. She said it looked pretty mild (she's a ped, so I

take that with a grain of salt). I was happy, tho, that she validated my

concerns and realized that it's much more than a cosmetic issue.

Makes no sense to me. I would really like to meet with the specialist first to

make sure we even want to move forward with any treatment. I went ahead and made

an appt with Hanger to have a free evaluation on Friday. Turns out, this Hanger

facility works closely with this specialist. So, we'll see how that appt turns

out.

> Did any of you have a similar experience? Seems like a ct scan shouldn't just

be done before seeing the specialist.

> Ugh.

> Any thoughts?

> Thanks,
