Guest guest
my baby is 11 months old, and she's got a 6 mm (difference between the 2 diagonals) plagiocephaly. I would like to know if a cranial orthosis can improve this asymmetry. Has someone put a cranial orthosis or with mild plagiocephaly. Thanks to tell me something
Guest guest
I personally probably wouldn't treat it. You may see a little more improvent as he grows. You may also have trouble finding someone who will sell you a band with that measurement. I do want you to know, however, that I do appreciate your concern. My son exited treatment at 4 mm asymmetry, and I still can see asymmetry in his eyes and ears, so I believe you when you say you can see it at 6mm. Does your son have any torticollis? If you think he might, you should have him checked by a physical therapist and start doing home stretches at least, if not physical therapy. Directions for stretches can be found online. Torticollis can also cause facial asymmetry, so treating it can reduce the asymmetry. My son is using a TOT collar right now (google it) and doing physical therapy, and that seems to be helping his asymmetry and torticollis a little. In the end, this is all just my opinion. You need to do what seems right to you. Best of luck! > > my baby is 11 months old, and she's got a 6 mm (difference between the 2 diagonals) plagiocephaly.
