Guest guest
Hi all. New here but I have been watching for a few weeks. Quick overview: I trusted my doctor's advice and thought my 2 year old son Colin's head would miraculously round out, nope. He is still very flat, but fortunately his eyes and ears are in alignment. No buzz cuts or shaved head for him! I am now in the process of getting my 6 month daughter, , into a helmet (15 mm asymetry). Going through this process with her made me thing plagio might have caused an interesting thing with my son's head and I am wondering if this has happened with any other kids. My son has a depression in his head along the entire coronal suture. At 23 months, we were finally sent to a plastic surgeon to check for cranio and he checked out fine. They said it was likely due to the skull plates fusing and " everybody has lumps and bumps " . His suture is very obvious to me and my family. Has anyone else experienced this? They said I could get him an MRI to rule anything out, but since they weren't recommending it, I am not going to put him through that. I'd be curious to know if anyone else has experienced changes in how the sutures fused. Thanks in advance!
