Guest guest
Hi folks... So I just wanted to update you all. Our 7 month old daughter got her StarBand today. We went to CIRS in Oakland, CA. So far her first fitting went very well. She seems to be accepting the helmet and we were told she should be in it for about 3 months. For those that care... her symmetry number was 20.1 (extreme) but we are hopeful. Thanks for all the support from this group. You are all great. Guest guest
This is my first and last post in this forum. I'm actually signing off since this whole thing is behind me. Our little guy got his Starband at 7 months like your daughter, and I signed on then and read every single post. I felt a lot better, but the worry is always there. In January we took it off after just about three months. Major improvement, symmetry is all there, I would still describe the back of the head as flat but it is totally in the normal range. If I wasn't the dad monitoring it every day, I would never know. We're extremely happy, we're glad we did it, and the kid doesn't remember anything. (except now he bumps his head and wonders why it hurts) Good luck with the Starband...breathe deep and forget about numbers now that you put the helmet on. Just check in as INfrequently as possible rather than study the head every night. It'll be all right. > > Hi folks... > > So I just wanted to update you all.
