Guest guest
I really can't agree that it isn't related to back sleeping. Go to any asian country (where back sleeping has been more prominent) and look at the different head shapes. I was at a restaurant a few days back (in India where I live). I saw three bald guys - 2 indian and 1 american. The american guy had a " nice " rounding in the back. The 2 indian guys were flat. I didn't see asymmetry, but the shape was very different. A small survey size I know, but it seemed obvious to me. I wanted to look at the top of their head downward to see if they had asymmetry, but didn't have the nerve to ask. -christine sydney, 5 yrs, starband grad > > Thought I would share this article that I ran across in Time magazine: > > > > http://healthland.time.com/2011/04/05/babies-with-flat-heads-are-on-the-rise > -is-back-to-sleep-to-blame/ > > > > > > Molly > > Novato, California > > Nicolas, 5, tort & plagio, STARband (CIRS Oakland) 4/24/06-9/12/06, > Graduate! > > , 8 > > , 11 >
Guest guest
Yikes! The neurosurgeon mentioned in the article is the very same one we saw… only we saw him at St. ’s in Philly. We never really got a good “vibe” from him. We felt like he was minimizing our concerns saying things like, everyone has some asymmetry, it won’t impact his development, etc. Sooo frustrating!
