Guest guest
I am happy to say that my little guy is now almost three and shows little signs of ever having plagio. I think that I am the only one who can tell. I do have a question though. A friend of mine has a son who is in need of a helmet. They presently live in Washington but are moving to Montana in the new year. Any suggestions of where to go for the helmet in Seattle and then Montana? Also, how often do they need adjustments? She is concerned that she'll have a 3 hour drive to the closest big city. We used to go weekly for our son but we are in Canada and didn't use a doc band or a hanger helmet (it was a regular orthotics clinic). Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Your friend may want to call Orthomerica to ask them if they can recommend a provider in Montana. The Orthomerica website only lists the offices that have STARscanners so it is entirely possible that an ortho in Montana used the STARband but just doesn't use the scanner. The reason I mention using the STARband is because there is a facility in Seattle that does them so perhaps the band can be started there and finished in Montana. She can also call Hanger to see if they can recommend an orthotist in both Washington and Montana. Depending upon her son's age, if he is young enough, and when she is moving she may want to wait until she gets to Montana to start the band.
