Guest guest
Hi t, It is normal for the eye to get a little squished. Most people say this is okay. At your next adjustment you can ask the clinician to adjust the band so this is less of a problem, but I think it is okay for now. You might want to take a photo and send to the doctor to see if it is too squished. My daughter wore a starband and didn't have this problem. Do you speak spanish? There is a spanish group too, and some members go to the same clinic. But I understand if english is easier for you :-) -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > Hello to all, > First of all, saddened for my English, I am French. > My son ( 16 months) began his treatment with the DOC BAND yesterday > (moderate Brachycéphaly + light Plagiocéphalie) > He adapts itself well, no red patches for the moment but we noticed that > his left eye was has half closed, what is not the case when we deprive > him the DOC BAND. > I sent an e-mail to the doctor who follows our son but he is in Spain > and we are distant from 1200 km (in France no treatment for > plagiocéphalies). > > Knew you the same thing ? > Is it normal? > Something there to make? > Thank you in advance > t >
Guest guest
Hello t,My daughter had a squished eye at times in her band--very normal. Our orthotist said that we could rub a tiny bit of baby cornstarch in my daughter's helmet in the area that was pushing down the forehead. It seemed to help some, but we had a different type of band. Ask your provider for suggestions. Good luck!-Amy From: christineashok <christineashok@...>To: Plagiocephaly Sent: Tue, September 7, 2010 12:25:22 PMSubject: Re: Eye half closed with DOC BAND?
