Guest guest
Hi, I would like to know if someone put a helmet with a plagiocephaly of 6-7 mm (difference between the 2 diagonal) ? My baby's got 11 months. I can see the assymetry on the face and the ear. I see it, the other persons say that they can't appreciate it. And if someone put a helmet, how many milimeters would be improve? A spanish mum Thank you.
Guest guest
Do you know his cephalic index? that measures if he has brachycephaly (flat in back with extra width). Depending on that you might get more improvement than you think. Brachy and plagio combo is not unusual. You can band at 6 mm, but insurance likely will not cover it. However if you have brachy too it would be more reason to band. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > Â > > Hi, > I would like to know if someone put a helmet with a plagiocephaly of 6-7 mm (difference between the 2 diagonal) ? > My baby's got 11 months. Guest guest
I Have got these measurements: Cephalic Ratio: 0,83 Radial Symmetry Index: 51,4 Oblique diagonal difference:7 mm Upper facial difference:6,3 mm Anterior ear shift: 7,2 mm Cranial vault asymmetry :5,7 mm Can you tell me something with these measurements? > > Â > > > > Hi, > > I would like to know if someone put a helmet with a plagiocephaly of 6-7 mm (difference between the 2 diagonal) ? > > My baby's got 11 months. Guest guest
His cephalic ration is 83% - so no brachy. His plagio is 7mm which is fairly mild, but with his ear shift I would probably try banding. However correcting the ears is difficult and doesn't always happen when the plagio corrects. Some providers say they can't correct ears, but many parents will tell you they've seen improvement. However from what i know the head in general tends to improve faster than the ears and sometimes the ears don't correct as much as hoped. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > > Â > > > > > > Hi, > > > I would like to know if someone put a helmet with a plagiocephaly of 6-7 mm (difference between the 2 diagonal) ? > > > My baby's got 11 months. Guest guest
You have helped me. What worried me the most are the ears and the face (the ckeek). Thanks a lot > > > > Â > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I would like to know if someone put a helmet with a plagiocephaly of 6-7 mm (difference between the 2 diagonal) ? > > > > My baby's got 11 months.
