Help appealing Cigna

Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody has had any luck appealing Cigna's decision to not pay

for their child's helmet. My son started at 13.9 so his deviation was

considered extreme. Cigna didn't deny the claim immediately. They sent a

letter saying they needed more information and then once we sent it they said

that our plan doesn't cover it. Which makes us wonder why they didn't deny the

claim the first time. If anybody has had luck with this please let me know.
