I would just dress her in a diaper and a onesie or dress. No socks at all. My

son was an active toddler when he wore his band through the summer and I really

didn't have much choice but to deal with the sweat as he would run around the

park, etc. You can give her little breaks to wipe down her head and the band.

Don't let her wear it in the pool. You can also look for a hat that's big enough

to fit over the band as well. And make sure you put sunscreen on her head. I

sprayed my son's head with the aerosol sunscreen. After applying sunscreen to

the head and face, neck etc., just make sure to allow it to completely absorb

into the skin before putting the band back on. Try not to get it on the band at

all.

The good news is that the sun is a great bacteria killer, you can set the band

outside (bottom side up) in the sun for the hour off (or shorter if you don't

have all that time) and it will kill the germs and smell effectively.

Good luck!

their kids in the heat? (I.E. cleaning, keeping your baby cool, heat rashes,

etc). Thanks for your advice.

My son Rayan just started the band a week ago and I was worried about the heat

too. He seems best when I have no shoes or socks on, and dressed as cool as

possible. Alyssa at CT told me that I might feel bad because his hands and feet

might seem really cold sometimes, but that this may happen, and not to worry, so

long at his core is warm and you can prevent heat rash. I also feel his head

frequently for sweat and take off and towel him off if I notice any, especially

after being in a car seat or taking a nap.
