Guest guest
Our physical therapist is about to dismiss from services for CST. Before I completely call this quits, I'd like to consult with a cranial osteopath. I've done a search on cranialacademy.org and even emailed one of the D.O.'s, but I thought I'd also check on here to see if anyone has any recommendations for someone in the Baltimore area. The closest person I could find is 35 miles away from me and in DE. That would be fine if he is good. He did say that he has worked with a child with scaphiocephaly and works with other children, but I'm not sure if that's enough experience or if it even matters. He did offer to meet for an initial visit for 148 and then 98 for follow up visits. I have no idea if there would be insurance coverage, but I'm guessing that there probably wouldn't be. Does anyone have insurance coverage for this? I am willing to travel a bit for someone good. Certain areas of DE, PA, and even VA (in addition to MD) would be fine. I'm looking for someone who could handle dealing with brachy as well as dealing with a two year old that doesn't like to sit still for long and can be oppositional at times. I honestly don't know whether he/she will recommend many treatments, but I just want to make sure that I've done everything I can before we move on. I also want to know the status of her sutures and how much additional change we can realistically expect. She will be 2.5 years at the end of February. The person that I contacted emailed me right back. His name is Seth Torregiani. Anybody have experience with him? I may also contact others on the list, but he was the closest to me in location and had an email address listed, so I contacted him first. He also runs a location that does lots of holistic type treatments (i.e. accupuncture). I've been reading about some alternative treatment options for food allergies and it would be great if I could get that treatment there as well. In general, I do feel that 's head is looking pretty good these days, but if there is still room for improvement, then I don't want to lose that opportunity. The untrained eye doesn't really see anything wrong and so I am happy for that. But, she still definately has brachy and the trained eye can see it. , mom to , 29 months STARband grad May 2009 at 20.5 months Chiro and CST land
Guest guest
Hi , Our boys' osteopath, Marc Rosen, has a site with some suggestions for finding an osteopath. http://www.osteodoc.com/ We tried an osteopath before Dr. Rosen who also had experience treating plagio. She was okay, but not nearly as good. The wait for Dr. Rosen was several weeks. We think our insurance will help pay for about 80%, but we haven't submitted the claim yet.  Our experience is that the osteopath visits are less frequent, but longer and more expensive. Best, Kathy wrote:  Our physical therapist is about to dismiss from services for CST.
