Well, all the DOCBand parents are going to say it is, and all the STARBand

parents are going to say it's not. I really do believe it is (although here, the

cost of the two was equal; I know that is not alwauys the case). I had the

opportunity to go with a local STARBand ortho, which would have been covered 90%

by my insurance. But after consultations with both, I felt more confident in the

DOCBand, which was almost 3 hours away and covered 75% by insurance. So my

advice for anyone who has the options of both in their area, is to go to

evaluations at both and go with your gut choice. Not all STARBand orthos have

the same level of plagio knowledge and experience, so you'll want to be sure to

ask questions to get a better idea of their expertise. CT trains all of their

therapists the same and routinely, so there's more consistency there.
