Guest guest
Hi Alisa, We are form Minneapolis, but we travel to Chicago every other week to CT. My son is 10.5 months. He's been in his Doc Band since January 18th. We go to the Skoki office. It is too early for me to be talking about the results, but we are already seeing some changes. I have to tell you that I LOVE the band. My son wore a different product/helmet for 5 months prior to the Doc Band. So I have something I can compare the Doc Band to. It is so easy to take off and on, really lightweight and it is also nice that a good portion of his head is still open to the world:) This is my experience so far. I hope this helps you. Tatiana ( mom to ) . > > My name is Alisa and I am from Mount Prospect, IL. My son Aidin is 4 months old and was diagnosed with Torticollis and moderate plagiocephaly. We have started PT for Tort about 4 weeks ago and there is some improvement. We have also started the process with the insurance to see if they will cover my sons helmet. So far all they said was they need a letter of medical nessecity from the dr and the referral specialist believes that they will approve the treatment. REgardless if they approve or not we are going to Cranial Tech here in illinois. Anyone from Illinois, around Chicago that has gone to Cranial Tech? What was your experiance?? >
Guest guest
Hello- We are from Aurora, IL and in exactly the same boat....just started PT for the toricollis and went to Cranial Tech last week...they did a photo study and measurements and said Kiralee had moderate plagio and recommended the helmet... I am so torn with this but want to do what I should do for her...they actually contact you afterwards and let you know what the insurance will cover (I haven't called them back quite yet.) I also got an appointment with Dr. Vicari at Children's Memorial Hospital..he runs a head shape evaluation program so I just wanted another opinion from an actual physician that specializes in this (Cranial Tech doesn't have a physician on staff but goes off their measurements and referrals from the children's pediatricians.) So if he recommends the helmet we are going to go with it and I think he will but we'll see and go from there and go quickly so she can have it on before 6 months if she needs it... hope this helps! > > My name is Alisa and I am from Mount Prospect, IL.
