facial flattening from band sideburn

Hi My daughter has a starband, she is plagio, has had the band for about 6 weeks

and we are noticing that the side with the velcro which is her left side is

starting to flatten her head and face on that side. When she first got the band,

the left sideburn was much tighter than the right and we had it adjusted twice,

but the ortho said it was okay because it wasn't leaving a red mark or anything

on her face. We are debating just taking the band off and being done with it,

because we don't want to risk her face being deformed for the sake of a round

head in the back. Has anyone had this or have any advice? She is 8 months now.
