Guest guest
If he can take it off it's probably a bad fit and you should tell his ortho. The sweating should stop. If I'm not washing her hair right away I will take a baby wet wipe to her head. Make sure his head and the helmet is completely dry and clean when you put the helmet back on. You may have to dress him cooler. From: Lay Keow Teu <daphneteu@...>To: Plagiocephaly Sent: Fri, February 4, 2011 10:48:17 PMSubject: Advice needed- 13mth old boy keeps removing his helmet . Guest guest
I've heard putting a barrette on the velcro helps so they can't open it. I would also recommend lots of distraction with a new toy or a favorite activity when you first put it on. The sweating improves a lot after about a week - but only if they get used to wearing it :-) -christine sydney, 5 yrs, starband grad > > Hi All, >  >  > My son just started to wear the helmet one mth ago , he is now 13mths old. > He perspires alot when he is with the helmet. > He will remove the helmet in less than 5 minutes. pls help to advise how can we ve him > wear the helmet for longer period. Guest guest
Hello,It is not unusual for child your son's age to become adept at removing the helmet. Ask your ortho for suggestions, but unfortunately there may be little you can do once they discover how to remove the band.Good luck!-AmyFrom: critter lover <tinsel2003@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Sat, February 5, 2011 5:44:39 PMSubject: Re: Advice needed- 13mth old boy keeps removing his helmet .
