Guest guest
My 5 month old son has positional plagiocephaly, and our pediatrician is recommending a helmet/band. We are having trouble finding someone in our region who does not do casting. We live in Huntsville, AL but can travel to Birmingham, Nashville, or Atlanta, GA. Any recommendations on orthotists in this region who will NOT do casting and who will use bands?
Guest guest
Here is a link to the orthos who have starscanners: http://orthomerica.com/technology/scan_locations.htm They will do the starband without casting. Also the docband providers generally don't scan (there are a few exceptions) but I don't think the offices are near you. You can check at www.cranialtech.com My daughter was scanned, but I don't think I would be opposed to casting if the ortho/provider were good. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > My 5 month old son has positional plagiocephaly, and our pediatrician is recommending a helmet/band.
