Guest guest
Hi, 's adjustments are gentle. They are not like those done on an adult. His chiro also spends about 5-10 mins doing cranial work on his head. It looks like a thought out massage tailored to fix 's bulge and flatter area. I would make sure the chiro has a lot of experience with children. Where are you located, in case someone has a referral? Good luck, Kathy leB wrote: Hi, I've seen some posts about people who have tried chiropractic for their child. I am really curious what you could tell me about what kind of manipulations they do for a baby. We have a consult today and he did an adjustment of his neck, kind of the same way they would do an adult. He seemed OK but I was a little suprised as I had heard it was a more gentle treatment? so I guess I am just wondering what that means? and what I could expect of treatment for a baby. of course I am a little apprehensive of anything hurting my son, he's 10 mos old and has been dealing with tort /plagio and now some spinal curving. Thanks for any thoughts about chiropractic! le 10 mos
Guest guest
le, My chiro does adjust the neck of my kids, but it doesn't really seem to bother them. This misalignment in the C area can also be adjusted through the activator tool, if your chiro uses one. Mine sometimes does tha neck crack and sometimes uses the tool. I think she mostly used the tool at first until got used to things. In all, has never seemed bothered by her adjustments. Our chiro explained that the amount of force needed to move the spine was much less and that is how it is more gentle. Does your chiro have experience with babies? I would want to make sure of this before continuing. There are several different techniques and types of chiro so I can't be totally sure of what to tell you to expect. Some of them do things directly to the head or other areas. Mine mostly just adjusts the spine. , chiropractic ? Hi, I've seen some posts about people who have tried chiropractic for their child. Guest guest
Hi thanks for the replies. yes, he used the activator tool also , but he did the neck adjustment just like an adult and I was suprised by it, baby seemed to cry for a second but then was fine after. Thats great Kathy that your chiro does the cranial work too. I took my son for CST when he was younger for his plagio but he was not able to hold still enough so I am not sure if it was helping and I gave up on it after a bit. I keep wondering if that would help him now, I'm just not sure what is the best way to get my poor little guy straightened out. I am in WA if anyone has any reccomendations! le 10 mos > > > > > > Hi, I've seen some posts about people who have tried chiropractic for > > their child. Guest guest
Hi, still nurses and I nurse him during the sessions. It helps the adjustments and he stays still. He gets really excited when we get the the chiro, since that is the only time he still gets to nurse during the day. -Kathy leB wrote: Hi thanks for the replies. yes, he used the activator tool also , but he did the neck adjustment just like an adult and I was suprised by it, baby seemed to cry for a second but then was fine after.
