Guest guest
I do know that sometimes when my allergies are acting up, my ears itch, and I have to scratch them by sounding like a pig. It is hard to explain, but I scratch from the inside with my tongue rubbing the top of my mouth. It works. Pam.

Guest guest
This is a day surgery. We're first on the docket on Wednesday. The anesthesiologist will call the night before. We'll either ask to sedate him some at home or do it on the floor when we get there. I think I'm going for at home. Food is extremely important to Andy, so the NPO part will make his behavior very unpredictable. Filling out the paperwork while he waits will be the worst. Last time we went, 5 years ago and before all these behaviors, our pre-OP was shared with babies. It's pediatric day surgery. And we'll go to a pediatric ward afterwards. It's not a big surgery or anything. I'm giong to go up to the hospital Sat/Sun to take some photos and make a book. I have little Andy stickers I can place in the pictures and move around. But really, I think we'll just need to sedate him if we all want to survive. When he wakes up....I'll have all his favorite dangly things and a portable DVD with his favorite movies rented from the airport. j

Sara >>> jmedlen@... - 05/17/0 4:39 PM >>> Leah: My sympathies. Andy's procedure is May 24. A week from today. I " m busily trying to figure out how to get him (75# and around 4') to the day surgery without traumatizing all the little babies. Any suggestions?? He's much happier now that he's not going to school. No aggressive outbursts at all. Of course, we're just focusing on enjoying each other, which helps. j ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Air purifiers, bedding, household cleaning & more! gazoontite.com! 1/4195/10/_/691668/_/958596149/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
For those of you who have been writing in with ear problems: This is from "The Oil the Heals" Pg. 49-52 "Ear Problems/Hearing Loss More than a year ago, I received a letter from Sharon Roznik telling me about the plight of her two-year-old boy, who "has had fluid trapped in his ear tubes for six months" They had an appointment with an ear doctor who was planning on placing drainage tubes in his ears. She wanted to know what Edgar Cayce would have suggested, because she believed that there must be a better way to get fluid out of 's ears. By the time she received my answer, she had taken action and had already seen the doctor. Her story in response to my letter is provocative: "Guess what! I just played it by 'ear,' giving him 250mg. of vitamin C; castor oil drops in ears a.m. and p.m.; high-alkaline, low-acid diet; a couple drops of Glyco-Thymoline (see Appendix) orally every few days; castor oil soaked on the front of his diaper at bedtime; upper back massages; laying on of hands (mine) with white healing light in mind. He wouldn't tolerate Glyco-Thymoline packs to the neck! I started this ten days before he was to see the ear specialist. By the way, was going in because he's had fluid in his ears for six months straight, without any signs of clearing up, after taking various antibiotics and decongestants, and being checked regularly by a doctor every three weeks. "When the ear doctor looked in 's ears, my husband said there was a look of shock on his face. His right ear was completely clear and his left still had some fluid remaining in it. I was so relieved and grateful. "The doctor asked if he'd been on any medication this past month and I said 'no.' I don't know why I said that. Next time I go in (in five weeks to check the other ear) I'll tell him. "I realize that tubes in the ears aren't really a serious health threat, but I just felt deep inside my heart that a little boy shouldn't have to have tubes put in his ears. There should be a natural way to get fluid out of those ears. "Thank you for the book, The Edgar Cayce Remedies, where I found the answer to this health problem. This is the first time I ever tried an extensive remedy like this. Thanks for answering my letter, and thank God for simple truths!" I've always thought that simple truths are the best. After all, if we are destined to be one with Creative Forces and if there's a oneness among all of humankind, then there may be little that can be more basic than the simple truths. Hearing loss can come from a variety of causes, but it is always a barrier to full participation in life as it is lived on this planet. When an eight-year-old boy is afflicted, we may not think that it is as detrimental to him as to an adult, because he can adjust better. However, we seldom listen carefully to such a person to see what he thinks of the problem. Loss of hearing, partial or complete, is a real problem to anyone. had such a problem, but his solution--thanks to his mother and some ideas from the Cayce material--was a happy one. This is from his mother's letter. "My son , age eight, has had tubes put in his ears twice. The last time was about two years ago and in one ear he has not heard well for about a year and a half. (I knew this because he couldn't hear the buzz tone on the telephone.) I followed the Cayce instructions of massage, head and neck exercise, and the lamb tallow mixture for four evenings. Then, the next evening I put a drop of castor oil in his ear. The following morning, I looked in his ear and the tube had fallen out! One side of the tube looked fine, but the other side was crusted over with dried blood!.....needless to say, I am thrilled to report that he now hears normally in both ears! God answered my prayers." In our work with the Cayce readings and the concepts of healing found there, we ventured outward to use castor oil in a number of ways that would either activate the immune system or quiet down the autonomic nervous system. We found that castor oil drops in the ears would often take care of minor problems there and sometimes influence major difficulties toward healing. A California woman wrote to me about her experience with a problem of minimal hearing loss: "About three months ago I noticed my hearing diminishing in my left ear. I had several colds, plus my travels take me up and down a mountain to get to work. "A month and a half ago I went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist who gave me some strong decongestant tablets and a spray. Those dried up my cold and sinuses and somewhat relieved the problem, but not completely. I went back and he punctured my eardrum and blew medication into it to loosen and help drain the tube. It helped for two days, but then my hearing worsened again. I decided to use castor oil packs directly on the ear, with heat, at night when going to bed---I used them for one hour. "After the first treatment, I was much improved and after the second night there was very little hearing loss." No long-term report on this, but when one experiences the kind of benefits she felt in her own body, it excites her and opens her mind to the concept that the body indeed can be helped toward a better level of homeostasis, a condition we call health."" ~Karma<(©¿©)> http://loaves-n-fishes.com Hi everyone, Speaking of castor oil for earaches, does anyone (Karma) know if it would help fortinnitus, (ringing noise in ears)? Or, if not castor oil, has anyone heard of another naturalway to help with that ailment? Just curious.By the way I did my 40 for Mon. day 12. Have a good day.Terry

Guest guest
Oh yes, my ears sound like a wave pool and they are swollen inside. They are inflamed. Yet inside there is no wax build up at all. Die off also gives me the spins. I almost fainted in the parking lot of the supermarket tonight when I went to buy my salad and a rotisserie chicken. I believe it is the Olive leaf that I just started taking causing another round of die-off. -adele > Yes,,, it will .... i even did 'ear candling' to see if it was wax... no > buildup of wax at all - just that *feeling*. Guest guest
Hi, H202 is good, I've used regular cheap grocery store stuff. Use eardropper. You don't need much. After bubbles stop, flush with warm water with as much force as you can, tilt ear to allow drainage. They say chronic use will dry out skin, so follow up with vaseline or lotion. Guest guest
for whatever its worth, as a regular swimmer, i have had an intermittent ear infection. i tried hydrogen peroxide extensively and the infection got worse...to the point of severe pain. i finally caved in and went to the VA...i only resort to standard medical practice when my alternative healings possibilities run out...and my doctor was very conerned. she said if ihad let the problem wait much longer, i could have had a perforated eardrum. of course, antibiotics were presccribed...of which i requested an alternative...but she was insistent, saying i had seriously aggravated the problem by using h202, 3%. so my recommendation is to be careful about assuming it will work for a case such as mine. good health robert Ears Hi group, Seems like recently there was a post about using h202 drops in the ears, but can't recall the details. I wouldn't use any over the counter ear drops with a kid with a tube or perforation without checking with the dr. My understanding of these drops is they are not meant to go past the ear drum. Guest guest
Start using about 5-15 drops H2O2 3% in each ear as many times as possible. Guest guest
My original post explains they are NOT earplugs. They are designed to in a sense extend your ear canal and thus make pressure changes gentler and easier. Those who have trouble pressurizing and depressurizing often have small ear canls or little kinks or turns int heir canals. These are these blue things with sort of spirals on the outside (soft plastic) that have a hole in the middle. You kind of gently " screw " them into your ear. I have no trouble on planes but I use them without fail in my hyperbaric oxygen tank, they make a huge difference. They should do the trick. The h202 would be if she had an infection but it sounds longstanding and structural. > > She has tried chewing gum and it doesn't work for her. Guest guest
Get the earplanes, I believe they are fantastic from several people who have used them. I wish I had given you that advice. :-) However, I used to suffer quite often (before knowing about earplanes) and had a recurring problem for years in my left ear. eventual it felt like a permanent lump inside the ear and no doctor could see anything. 18 months ago I started ear insufflations and ooze a lot of yellow/orange liquid for weeks out of that ear ( and the other to a lesser extent) and the lumpy feeling disappeared and has never returned. I have flown many times since and had totally forgotten about my problem until this question. the H2O2 may help to cure the problem permanently or your Mom could try ozone insufflation but that is a whole 'nother story. Guest guest
Dear Tami, I had all these symptoms before - headaches, ear aches, ear pressure, sinus infections. Samters may be an auto-immune disease. Yes, hives can be welts when they are bad enough. Hives means you are reacting to something. The restaurant may have changed the breading or oil they use or maybe they have artificial ingredients in them and your body reached it's limit. I used to get hives that turned into huge welts. It is because they all kind of run together. Tami we can fight this and the answer is the foods you eat every day. I recently met a woman who was on the Feingold Diet and we both agreed you have to really be desperate to go on it. Who wants to go on a diet for life? We both were that desperate and it worked for both of us. It is not easy, I will say that. But I feel it is incredibly more difficult to be sick. And there is a lot of support out there for this diet if you take advantage of it. People who have tried this diet have reported that they feel better. And it isn't expensive. There are breaded fish products (althought I don't know if there is shrimp) that are all natural. I love the foods I have now. I've found if I stuff myself before going somewhere or I bring food I can eat I don't feel the sadness watching other people eat what I can't have. And, I can have so many delicious, good foods that I take great pleasure in them. I also have found amazing help with ester c used as an antibiotic. If you seem to react to ester c you can use a product called allergy c which is made from sago palms. I never found a problem with it. I take ester c in huge amounts. Health books say to take it to bowel tolerance which means when you get diarhea. That means all the cells in your body have all they need. Then you back off the dose some and continue taking it. I can take 12000 miligrams in one evening and be fine. It depends on how much your body needs. I take massive amounts till I feel better (up to bowel tolerance) and then I continue for two weeks just like an antibiotic. It really works wonders. I have cured sinus infections and bronchidis with it. Recently for some reason I thought I was allergic to it and I went the antibiotic route. I got worse and worse until I went back to my old ester c treatment. It is so great! ears << File: ATT00018.txt; charset = iso-8859-1 >> << File: ATT00019.htm; charset = ISO-8859-1 >>
Guest guest
Dear All, Regarding hives, when I was on prednisone, and, more specifically when tapering down, I would have hives/welts that would appear after bathing, and sometimes at other times. This symptom disappeared once I was totally weaned from it. Regarding 's comments regarding being weaned off prednisone, I could not agree more. I had been on it for about seven years and was having all kinds of alarming side effects including seizure and migraines. I found an MD who committed to getting me off, and this took months. During that time, I really paid attention to stress, and did everything I could to decrease mental, physical, and emotional stress, including meditation and biofeedback. In reading over the postings to the list, I wonder how much we can separate the effects of Samters to those of chronic prednisone ingestion and/or other medications.
