Doc band - first day - need help!

My LO got his doc band today. He is on the 3 hours on 1 hour off schedule. The

clinician said he could sleep in it. Does that mean I check on it and take it

off when he wakes to feed? Or do I let him sleep with on all night if he STTN.

Our clinician said it depends on how the red marks are doing. LO rarely had red

marks and they usually faded within 20 minutes so I let her STTN with the second

helmet. The first helmet though was more persistent with red marks so I took her

out of it for the night but she slept in it the second night. We also got both

helmets late in the day so there were not very many skin checks before the

night.

If the red marks have been fading I would let your LO sleep in it but if LO

wakes, then you might as well check on it.
