Guest guest
I am not much help on appeals. I was wondering what STARband location you would be using if you go with STARband? Maybe there are people in the group that have gone there and can share their experiences. We went to a Hanger location in Missouri that used a STARband in 2002 with wonderful results. Good luck whichever way you go. Angie ADVICE ON APPEALING INSURANCE COMPANY??? We are desperatly seeking advice on how to go about appealing the insurance company for coverage on Docband. We took our twin sons to CT and one has severe plagio and they think he will need two to three bands for correction and the other twin will need one band. As you can imagine 4 bands at $3800 adds up way too quick. At this we are going to go to a Starband provider in Dallas as well. CT is out of network with our insurance United Healthcare. However, Starband has an in network facility here in Dallas that we can use. We have an appt with them next week so I am not even sure who we will be using. Unfortantly, we may have no choice except to go with Starband (and we may very well be satisfied with this)due to the expense. I just want to know that we make the best decision for our boys despite the cost or insurance coverage. For those of you that could choose CT or Starband why did you decide to go with the company you choose? Expense, look, product, insurance coverage, and so forth????At any rate, we are curious if anyone has had any luck appealing UHC especially when starband wasin network. I am guessing that no matter what if we go with CT that we will not get anywhere b/c we have an in network provider. So we are just looking for anyone that may have been in a similiar situation and how you won an appeal. Thanks so much
Guest guest
Hanger cost us 1800 per helmet w/o insurance they give a discount where I went. We didn't have a choice as Hanger is the only option for 1ooo miles.KimFrom: Angie P <apope04@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Tue, November 9, 2010 3:02:13 PMSubject: Re: ADVICE ON APPEALING INSURANCE COMPANY???
