Guest guest
Your daughter shouldn't really have a change in her personality. Maybe she is just getting used to it. Make sure nothing else is medically wrong such as running a fever. Also, call the doctor and orthotist and ask if this is a sign of a problem. Usually babies that first get the helmet have trouble sleeping, not the other way around. As far as taking the helmet off for special occasions, I think it's okay as long as you use that as the hour off. I took off my son's helmet for his Christmas photos, and plan to again for his Easter photos. I just make sure that it goes back on asap. I did notice that the helmet hindered my son's ability to roll over for awhile. He got the helmet at 6 1/2 months. He's 10 months now and has hit all of his milestones after getting use to the helmet. He can roll over, pull himself to sitting position, crawl, and pull himself up to standing all on his own now. Just waiting for him to walk on his own. Hope this info helps. On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 7:31 AM, doorbeek <doorbeek@...> wrote: 1) Did your babies personalities change? Want to make sure I am doing a good enough job. 4) Does helmet affect physical development, ie, crawling? 5) Did other parents take helmet off for special occasions? Josie getting baptized (no water) on Sunday and I kinda want helmet off in front of congregation, should that just count toward hour off? That's all for now:) /Mom to Josie 7 months Brachy baby
Guest guest
It sounds to me like there's something going on with your little one. Either fighting something off or maybe teething (my girls always sleep a ton right before cutting a tooth). I think you are totally fine taking it off for her baptism. As long as you wear it on schedule all the other times an hour or two for that wouldn't be a problem IMO. Hope your little one is back to her cheery self soon!On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 11:23 AM, Rapp <rapptk@...> wrote: Your daughter shouldn't really have a change in her personality.
