Hi,

Not only does my son have a flat spot on the right side of the back of his head,

but also his whole right side of his face is flat. He had torticollis and would

always rest with his head completely turned right. Not only did it push the

right side of his face forward, but it made the angle from his temple to the

front of his face more severe. The left side angle is more rounded while the

right side angle is more of a right angle. Does this make sense? I know that

with the band we are trying to get the left side to grow into what the right

side looks like, but does anyone know that if over time the severity of the

flatness of the right side of his face soften? I hope so. Or the whole thing

could be an optical illusion making the right side look more severe just because

it is set more forward than the left side? Anyways, just wondering if anyone

noticed if this softened up a bit as the child gets older. Thanks

You've given a general description of plagiocephaly. It isn't just

" spots. " Think " parallelogram, " and you'll have the gestalt of it.
