Well, after 's 36th adjustment in 3 months, she was scanned again. The scan showed that she is completely clear in all areas but C1 (top of the spine). Even C1 was significantly improved, but not quite yet normal. But, this scan was considered to be fairly typical and so has now graduated to "wellness adjustments." That means that she's free as long as she comes with a paying adult. I'm still being adjusted regularly so that will be no problem.

The chiro does want her to continue to get adjusted at least once a week so that her spine can get used to holding with less frequent adjustments. But, her once a week or more adjustments will not cost me anything.

The Prevacid tapering trial is going okay. Last week, we had confusion because appeared to have a reaction to the H1N1 shot. It was difficult to determine the cause at first, but I now believe that it was the shot. Her pattern of disturbance mimicked her typical pattern when she gets exposed to foods she can't tolerate. So, I'm not sure what was in it that caused her a problem, but I'm pretty sure it was something in the shot. Now that this is out of her system, she is doing well on a 50 percent dose. If she continues to do okay, we'll move her to a 33 percent dose at the end of the week.

So now, we continue to keep her spine in alignment, work on the C1 area, and wait for her body (or head) to do what it can do. I really do see a difference in her head and wonder if more improvement is on its way. I'm not sure whether the difference would show up on a scan or not. Hand measurements showed a huge improvement, but they also showed that her head got less wide so I'm not sure whether it was actually measurement error, real improvement, or a little of both. Regardless, even though I'm sure that her numbers would say that her brachy is not in the normal range, I believe that it looks at least mild. The average person would not notice anything about her head at this point. For that, I am grateful.
