Guest guest
I do think we experienced regression with my son, who graduated from his first DOC Band at 7 months. He started at 5 1/2 months, with 17mm CV asymmetry. He outgrew the band in 7 weeks, at which time he measured at 9mm. When he graduated, he was still sleeping exclusively on his back. (He could roll over -- just wouldn't do it in his bed.) After 7 weeks without the band, we noticed that he didn't seem as round in the back as when he graduated (and the photographs we had seemed to support what we were seeing). We decided to go forward with band #2 - to get his CV numbers closer to normal range while we had the chance. He is still in band #2 -- 8 weeks now. We've continued to see great improvement. Thankfully, he is sleeping on his tummy and side now so when he graduates from this band, I will feel much better. In those seven weeks without the band, I cringed every time I saw him sleeping on his back. When we went to Cranial Tech to get measured for band #2, his measurement was still 9-10mm CV asymmetry so the numbers didn't really reflect the regression we were seeing. But my husband and I were both in agreement that it had regressed in the course of those seven weeks without a band.
