Guest guest
I posted a couple of weeks ago about my frustration with my son's helmets. Wake had just gotten fitted for his 3rd helmet at NOPCO in Boston. Unfortunately we've been dealing with heat rash ever since-- I'd appreciate any suggestions that folks have on how to heal the rash and better yet, how to avoid it in the future! After his 1st rash (which he got a couple of days after we resumed full-time wear), we had him out of the helmet for about 4 days. We then reintroduced the helmet over 3 days, but today he got another rash after 5 hours of wear. I think Wake probably can't wear the helmet for another couple of days now. I tried dressing him in lightweight clothes today, but his head still got very sweaty. Also, does anyone know if the DOCband is less likely to cause heat rashes than the STARband? BTW, Wake will turn 7 months this week. Thanks,
