Guest guest
My daughter's DOCBand is way too loose. When the ends of the velcro strips are even, the helmet is loose enough that I can gently apply a small amount of force and cause that little metal hinge to move from flat to upright or cause the velcro to become rippled. Also the band will fall down over her eyes while she is walking, not just starting to cover the lower part of her eyebrows but past that and actually covering her eyes. We had previously tightened the velcro just a bit but my daughter was so uncomfortable during the night that she reached a point where she was waking every 15 minutes so I have moved the velcro back to it's originally intended tightness and voila no more sleep issues. I know the band does not fit right. Our first helmet lasted the full three months and did not have any of these issues. I know this but how do I convince the clinician? She is adamant that the helmet fits correctly but to pacify me she will agree to take pictures and measurements at our next adjustment and send them to manufacturing/design team. Our next adjustment will be on the 24th. Should I ask for an appointment sooner? How long does it take for the design team to respond? Who pays for the helmet if it has to be remade?
