Guest guest
My daughter was treated for Brachy but although that was her more significant problem, there still was assymetry and they said the reason she had similar holds as my plagio son was to treat her assymetry. Don't know if she has a similar situation but I would just ask when you go for your first follow-up, or you can always call Monday if you are unsure about it. Jen DOC Band Shape Can anyone explain how CT determines the shape of the DOC Bands? Our daughter just got hers yesterday. She has moderate to severe brachy and the "holding points" of the band are not where I expected them to be. I thought they'd be on either side toward the back of her head to hold her width and allow the back to round out and the top to level off, but there's only one on the left side of the back. The front of the band curves up on the left side, (like the little boy in the picture on the home page of this group), which I assume is another holding point. I plan to clarify at our next visit, but thought maybe someone on here could help me understand in the meantime. Thanks! Kristi
Guest guest
Thanks, Jen. Maybe that's the case with my daughter, too. Did you get good correction for the brachy with that particular band? Guest guest
Her head looks great! She had a mild case to begin with and even got to a point where I was concerned we were overcorrecting. Her biggest issue was her width.
