Guest guest
We just received the DOC band this past Thursday. Honestly, we saw an improvement immediately, which was very encouraging. However, the helmet pushes my daughter's left ear down and forward, and it has pushed it out a little bit. We have an appointment tomorrow, and I've removed the helmet for now. Will the ear go back to where it was, or is it correctable once they adjust the helmet? Has anyone has this happen with their child?
Guest guest
The same thing has happened to my son because of a rotating DOCband. I brought up my concern at the first fitting, but I was told that it was ok. We had to keep adjusting it to center it. I kept bringing it up, but they were almost getting offended by my concern. After a month of wearing it, his head started to take on the shape of the rotating helmet. I had them take pictures, but they said it was because he was tilting his head. He graduated after 10 weeks because he grew out of the helmet but there is now visual asymmetry in his forehead, eyes, and ears whereas it was not before the helmet therapy. I am outraged and so distressed. In hopes of correcting the problem, he is now in a Starband. But that is fitting incorrectly as well, so we will have to get that adjusted...Everyone says that DOCband is the best, but I'm not too sure anymore. > > We just received the DOC band this past Thursday.
