Guest guest
Hello. I am new to this group. My son is 6 1/2 months and has been in the Starband for 1 month. Up until we got the helmet, he slept GREAT at night. Ever since he got the helmet, he wakes up every few hours, just like a newborn. He just can't seem to get into a comfortable position. I know it's *not* just the helmet. We unintentionally introduced a lot of changes at the same time. We swaddled him right up until we got the helmet also. Even at 5 months, he loved being swaddled, so we did. But since he started rolling over, we took him out of the swaddle. Also, my maternity leave ended, and he started daycare full time. So there were 3 big changes. But I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has learned some ways to help their baby sleep better with the helmet. He does roll over to his side or stomach to sleep since he got the helmet. My second question is -- does any else's baby bang their head (in the helmet) against the floor or on the crib mattress? My son does that frequently. My husband thinks it is b/c his head is itchy from the helmet, and banging his head moves the helmet around to alleviate the itchiness. It's just a really painful sight to see him banging his head ..... Thank you. Ami
