Guest guest
My son has had his band about 3 weeks, and we are in the same boat. I have decided to just let him wear it up until bed and put it on as soon as he wakes back up, then off again for nap. He has Brachy though, not plagio, if he had asymmetry I might feel differently. But for us, I feel like i'm doing the right thing for MY son. You should do the same. ;-) > > Hello everyone! My daughter Nora was fitted into her DocBand last Thursday, and it's gotten progressively worse ever since. She did great the first few nights- we followed all of the instructions, she did well. But the past few days her personality has gotten so strange- we can't get her to smile much and her nighttime sleeping is NONEXISTENT. Did this happen to anyone else? She swipes at the right side of her band and her ear on that side (that is the side that is more pressure), but I took her to the pedi to rule out ear infection and we went for her first adjustment yesterday and they couldn't see anything that would be bothering her so much. She literally SCREAMS for hours when we put the band back on after bath, and off and on all night long. I feel SO BADLY for her, and am already starting to regret the band. Any advice or similar experiences? Thanks to all- this has been a very stressful week. > >
Guest guest
I had a similar experience with my son Tanner. He got his STARband about 3 weeks ago, and was miserable at night and naps. He has reflux and already has to sleep very elevated, so the band pushed his head forward even more. My child has brachy, not any asymmetry, so the choice I made for him for to take the band off for naps and night. No matter what anyone thinks, good or bad, I made the right choice for my child. You should too. :-) > > Hello everyone! My daughter Nora was fitted into her DocBand last Thursday, and it's gotten progressively worse ever since.
