Guest guest
Per a post in the DOCBAND Facebook page, I used Krylon for Plastic spray paint. SO much easier than using brushes and you dont see brush strokes. But make sure you cover the inside and edges well with paint tape. I did it on the first night she had the band and it dried within 20 minutes. I also got some great ideas from people in this group and after applying two coats of ModPodge Matte over the paint, I used rub-on transfer stickers from s and Target. Then applied two other coats of ModPodge. We really like the results and I hear you can easily take this off with nail polish remover if we ever wanted to. Good Luck! Thanks to all those who gave me such great ideas on decorating my baby's band, she's already getting many compliments!!! Messages in this topic (4) 2a. If you painted your child's band... The helmet surface is very slick so I don't know what paint to use and have it stick. I would like to do a painted background with stickers over it. Can I repaint by either painting over the old design or by removing the first paint layer and starting over? Which would be better? Painting layers seems like bad idea because the paint adds small amounts of weight and I know the bands were crafted to be under a certain weight... 2 of 2 Photo(s) helmet2.jpg
