Hi everybody,

just an update. , now 20 mo or 17 adj, has been wearing his starband for

2 months. He's had chiro and Cst since 6 Aug. Last week at his appt with the

ortho she finally, YES, saw some improvement. So I was right thinking he looked a

little better. That made my day. On Oct 1st it's going to be a scan.

I'm still having a hard time with the CST though. I thought I had it all

figured out. I found a therapist , RN, certified in pediatric CST and with

plagio exp. She saw him twice. Both times we were there for 1 1/2 hrs. I like

her a lot. And in a couple weeks she's going to have Flowers at her

place who could work on him if I want to.

Then I found out that CST falls within occupational therapy and IF he qualifies

for it the insurance would pay. I found a place, Independent Living, and talked

with the OT who would do CST and she seems to have experience with plagio. She

thinks that since was a preemie other possible issues should be kept in

mind when working with him. She knows the therapist I'm currently bringing him

to for CST and says she may tend to not see the whole picture hence wanting

something to happen without considering the whole nervous system and where he is

developmentally. She also didn't seem to think much of chiro for plagio.

He's already in the Early Intervention program, which I thought was enough but

now realize may not be in fact they were the first to see the plagio but never

referred me to an OT??!! So now I'm torn, confused about the CST again. I guess

I'll have him evaluated by the OT and see what she has to say and what

impression I get. This is turning into a quest for the Holy Graal.

Any thoughts?
