Most young babies don't need extra water. The sweating usually improves in a

week or two of getting the band. If you're thinking about pedialyte I would

check with your doctor. You don't want her to decrease her milk intake too much

since that is where she is getting her nutrition.

Sweating is completely normal and happens in almost all cases. It should get better after a couple of weeks - especially in these winter months. In the meantime, you can take it off every few hours and towel off the head. After a couple minute break, put the band back on. wore her band in the winter as well and I believe that her sweating greatly decrease after two weeks.

You don't want to give your baby water. Their kidneys are not able to handle a

lot of water. By 6 mo, our pediatrician said 1-2 oz a day from a sippy cup.

Which of course means, he'll get a dribble or two and wear the rest.

Best of luck to you... it goes by very fast!
