Hello! My son, who is know 10 months old was put in the STARband a month ago.

The process has been nothing like I was anticipating. It has been much more

pleasant, I stressed for nothing.

The first 2 weeks he did sweat a lot, we would take it off, wipe it down with

rubbing alcohol, dry his head and put it back on. We started dressing him

lighter & keeping our house a bit cooler. Now he is sweating very little! It

seems as if he's adjusted to it well! It has not effected his sleep at all,

which was a great concern of mine since he's never been a good sleeper and he's

just recently started sleeping through the night. Whewww, relief to us!

We call it his hat, we clap and get excited about taking it off & puting it on.

He claps with us. We've not made a big deal about it.

Granted we are early into the process but we can already tell a slight change!

Dr. told us he would wear it from 3-7 months depending on change/growth.

I worried about what people would think, but no one has made any negative

comments. We've had some ask about it and we just use the opportunity to explain

it to folks. Actually this weekend we were at a birthday party. My husband &

son were standing beside a little giraffe riding toy, a little girl came up,

asked my husband if she could ride the giraffe, he said yes then she pointed to

my son and said " but I need the helmet " . We laughed so hard!!!!!!

I know I'm a bit partial, but he's actually quite cute in it & probably the best

thing is he's walking now and falling EVERYWHERE so it protects his head from

bumps. HAHA!

Not bad, I would say go ahead if your dr. is recommending/suggesting it.

Children are brutal in school, we never want them picked on for the shape of

their head & honestly for me I thought why not try it, it might work plus I

didn't want the guilt of knowing we might could've fixed it and didn't.

Best of Luck!
