Car Seat Advice...and any other advice greatly appreciated!

My 8 month old son has torticollis, plagiocephaly and brachiocephaly. I've

known about these diagnoses for the last month. His first primary care

physician was not concerned about any of his issues...even when he had pyloric

stenosis, she kept dismissing the symptoms I was explaining. One nurse said it

looked possibly like his skull bones may have prematurely fused, overlapped.

He's had an xray done, couldn't see anything...needs CT scan. This is difficult

to get done because of his other health concerns.

He has acid reflux, and a narrowed esophagus, and laryngomalacia (floppy

cartillage around epiglotis). One doctor recommended a helmet, but when I took

him to cranial tech he measured +1.8. Kaiser covers at +2.0, so I don't know if

we'll be able to do this for him.

We're doing PT for the torticollis. He has outgrown his initial car seat. He

weighs 24 pounds. He is in the car for about 2 hours each day. I'd like to

have him in a car seat that is best for his head shape issues...possibly super

soft. I've been to several stores and wasn't happy with any of those I looked

at. Does any one have any suggestions? Also-if anyone has any experience or

advice about any of the other concerns we have about his health... I'd

appreciate hearing your perspective!!!
