Hi. I live in the Washington, DC area and was wondering if anyone knows of

places that offer the STARband or Hanger. I've been to Cranial Tech but

want to check out all options plus my insurance, UHC won't pay for the DOC

Band. Hope someone can offer suggestions. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the information everyone! Looks like a place that makes the Hanger is pretty close to me. The StarBand company in Columbia, MD is about 45 minutes- 1 hour from me so I think I'll look into the Hanger instead.

Good luck. There was also a Hanger location about 20 minutes from me versus the 45 minutes to Star Cranial. However, we had already had our consult and could get banded faster with the STARband. My insurance would have covered Hanger, but they didn't cover the Star band. Hanger was telling me it would likely be a month before we could get her band. was going on 15 months so I didn't have enough time to check them out.

,I believe there is a Starband provider in Columbia, MD and a Hanger provider in andria. My daughter(almost 9 months) just completed 1 month in the KidCap. So far, we are very pleased with the results. Our daughter grew 3mm in the very flat spot on her back right side(right tilt tort) in only 3 weeks. She really looks great already. She sees an orthotist in Rosslyn(Eastern Cranial Affiliates/Infinite Technologies.)We found this provider through our insurance(preferred provider.) The orthotist is experienced, board-certified, lab located on-site and very responsive. Hope this helps.
