Guest guest
At my daughter's 4 month pediatrician check up, I found out that her flat head wouldn't be rounding out on it's own. The pediatrician referred us to a specialist and we have been told that the best results and shorter helmet time is seen in children who start the helmet at less than 6 months. However, I have just discovered that our insurance requires 3 months of repositional therapy first. Should I just comply, even those statistics say starting the helmet sooner is better? What about the fact that the doctor says her head won't round out on it's own? (She has brachy and we have Priority Health). Also, anyone know of treatment centers in the Detroit/Flint area? We were referred to Dr. Arlene Rozelle who is not in our network. Thank you!!
