Guest guest
Yes, we used CT in Miami! I have nothing but absolutely wonderful things to say about them. We drove an hour and a half each way, but it was so worth it. My son wore three bands, starting at 4.25 months. He graduated 6 months later. I would highly recommend them! > > Anyone have experience with Cranial Tech in Miami? >
Guest guest
If you don't mind explaining, why did your son have to have 3 bands? My son will be getting his first DOC band at 4.25 months as well, and now I am worried about how many bands he will have to have, especially because we are paying out of pocket for all of this! CT in Pasadena, CA diagnosed him with moderate/severe plagio and a little bit of brachy. They predict 6-10 weeks of treatment. He also has some minor facial and ear asymmetry. Thanks for your help! > > > > Anyone have experience with Cranial Tech in Miami? > > >
Guest guest
Hello,It's not that unusual for Cranial Tech to require more than one band, depending on the severity of the plagio. Our PT said two bands seemed to be the norm for CT. Did the clinician warn you about the possibility of more than one band? They told us it would take 6-9 months and two bands to correct my daughter's plagio(13/14.5mm.) We went with another provider who corrected my daughter's head to 2.47mm in 15 weeks in only one band. We are so glad we had a second consult with a different provider. Saved us $$$ and time. Plus, we couldn't be happier with the results.-AmyFrom: luvamotor <luvamotor@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Wed, October 20, 2010 1:25:04 PMSubject: Re: Cranial Tech in Miami If you don't mind explaining, why did your son have to have 3 bands? Guest guest
I wouldn't worry about your son needing three bands. We were only recommended for 2 bands, but I pushed for the third one. He was still relatively young when he outgrew his second band (8 months) and I wanted to get the maximum amount of correction possible. > > > > > > Anyone have experience with Cranial Tech in Miami? > > > > > >
