Specialists who only prescribe one type of band

I find it odd that the specialist I went to in KC only prescribes the Hanger

band. We do not have any CT's locally, which could be the reason. When I

called to ask if he would be open to writing a prescription for the CT band, his

nurse said he only prescribes the Hanger band. Has anyone else encountered

this?? I would think that a specialist would know the in's and out's of all

bands and be open to a discussion on which one the patient should go with.
